You know the funny scary thing about Zendikar Block???

It was Indiana Jones World....and then they put Aliens in it.

What is it about Wizards of the Coast that they were able to pull this off and be awesome, and George Lucas, who pulled off 'Super advanced technology.....a long time ago.....back when laser swords were better than mega death rays' couldn't?!

Man...thinking about it...I don't think Kingdom of the Crystal Skull had any INHERENT faults. I think Lucas was just too lazy to make it as great as it could have been. Wow. Although it probably also helps that Dungeons and Dragons has given Wizards a lot of practice at this- it has this weird habit of starting out in Lord of the Rings Land in the Heroic Tier, and ending up in Call of C'thulhu Land by the time you get Epic.

i expect every deck will roll 4 of these if they can. their common rarity kinda makes it easy as hell to do so

This card made for some epic limited games :) I love that they put such a fun guy at common so anyone can play him.

Using math, we can deduct that this guy is 20% less dangerous to planeswalkers than a group of 10 squirrels.

When you think of it that way, the Eldrazi are pretty wimpy.

Either that, or those are some tough squirrels.

This card, to me, perfectly embodies the entire Rise of the Eldrazi set. A ridiculously powerful colorless card for a ridiculously cheap price at a ridiculous rarity level.

As others have mentioned; Pauper fiend. He's a terror to deal with when he's cheated out. Luckily he's not untouchable. I like him as a MEGA ULTRA CREATURE to show friends learning Magic what a creature can really do and how to assess a creature's cost compared to value. Of course this doesn't really go to demonstrate some more powerful creatures, like Dark Confidant, but that's a separate lesson.
