Would actually be a perfectly reasonable card if you didn't have to choose. Makes me think this character can reappear later as a promo, somehow, with all the abilities instead of 'choose'.

KicktheCAN, it's only until your next upkeep, not your next turn. So during the Paradox Haze-caused upkeep, it'd lose the one you picked during your first upkeep. Sorry.

Used to think this guy was cool. But at school, since we only had a limited time to play during lunch or whatever, we often played a "turbo" variant of Magic that eliminated the one-land-per-turn limit, among other things that made this more playable. But for that much mana, he should've had all those abilities at the same time. With that art, it's hard to imagine Gabriel trampling or rampaging much.
