It's a fun card. Put it on your own artifacts with Sac abilities, like Sylvok Replica, and suddenly this becomes six life for one mana.

Not terrible with Golden Urn. Sacrifice it on turn four for 10, then transform Chalice of Life. Too bad you had to use two cards to do it, but whatever.

The rare Aura that's only card disadvantage if it doesn't get killed.

Put it on Scroll of Avacyn, 11 life for tapping 1 mana AND you get to draw a card... Maybe I will... Yes you need an angel out to get the full 11, but if I'm putting this on a scroll I'm planning to have an angel out... Haha

Urza's bauble or Mishra's bauble make this 1 mana gain 6 life.
