this is one of my more powerfull creatures in my deck. i do enjoy using this one

WHY isn't this card rated higher?
Come on. There has to be some sort of conspiracy or Internet-Meme thing going on (like the whole Storm Crow thing, as amazing at it is). This card is in no way bad.
Maybe some people think it's not good enough because it is Lightning Boltable. However, it's just for 3 CMC, so that isn't as bad a trade as if you lost your Gigantomancer like that.
Maybe it's because it is 2 black and 1 colourless, but if you're complaining about that, then Phyrexian Obliterator should have a rating of 2/5.
I see nothing wrong with it, and yet, it isn't too that broken. A staple for ANY black strategy as well as any other deck with black in it (except the Coalition deck, of course)

This card is overpowered in a mono-black deck. 2BB for a 2/3 flying creature with both deathtouch AND lifelink? Lifelink is a white ability. This card should be rare, not uncommon. Funny thing is, the rating is under 4 when it is so broken already.

A lot of people are dogging this card and I guess I can see why. Being on the receiving end of this guys grief is not fun. Im convinced he was made uncommon instead of rare for the casual players. Its awesome to have a guy with this low of cmc that's so easy to get ahold of. He is good enough to build a deck around. Thanks WotC for showing some casual love!

If your running mono black, and the format permits it, there is no reason in the world not to run 4. Hes that powerful. The only reason if you want to run 0 creatures for some strategic reason. Even if hes your only 4 creatures hes better then any wall you will find. Can block flyers, gain health, and has deathtouch. He really should have been a rare, and increase his power to 3/3 and it would be a serious mythic candidate.
