Despite being the "opposite" colour, the card Mercenaries set a precedent for the Mercenaries creature type by sucking.

A general rule is that any creature that makes me prefer Hill Giant shouldn't even occur at common. At rare, a strictly-worse Hill Giant shouldn't exist.
