It's not the best sacrifice engine in standard right now (that honor goes to the Blood Artist and Cartel Aristocrat combo), but if you pair this with Blood Artist you will reap a different kind of reward then you would with the aristocrat. The one thing I don't like is that you have to tap a land to sacrifice a creature. You should just be able to sack something without having to tap land to do it.

This guy has actually found a home within the ranks of my Rat deck. While Marrow-Gnawer is busy making a crap ton of tokens for me, these guys are spending extra mana with a few of the newly created tokens, to run tricks on my opponent. This kind of removal works pretty well with my rats current mechanics, of fear, and discard. They are the only humans that have made their way into my Rat tribal.

The fact that thanks to readily available tokens in Red and White means that both Orzhov and even Rakdos mill are possible (though not practical) merits 5 stars for laughs alone.

While Rakdos mill might work only for laughs in tabletop, Orzhov mill could become a thing.

Think about it. Thin out lands with Path to Exile and Ghost Quarter.

Use Elspeth, Sun's Champion to fuel sac.

Three mana lets you mill for 3 lands each turn.

EDIT: I'm actually trying a (budget, no Elspeth) version of the Orzhov idea. Currently using all humans and Xathrid Necromancer to fuel sac. It's not competitive, but it is fun.
