As effective as Primal Cocoon with none of the drawback

Super Exicited to put it in my Animar deck~
Animar, Soul of Elements
Ulasht, the Hate Seed
Apocalypse Hydra
Mycoloth
Triskelion
Triskelavus

And might even consider putting it in my Skullbriar deck just for Skullbriar, the walking grave and espicially Thought Gorger

What other creatures have abilities that would benefit from this?

I want to throw some of these on a Slumbering Dragon.

Really, any green deck benefits from having it, but it's really going to be amazing in Simic. Flux Mage, Master Biomancer...

I actually prefer Primal Cocoon for the flavour of the mechanic, but let's face it, neither's really playable unless you have a very specific combo in mind, like a Joraga Warcaller elf deck or something.

It seems like something with "forced" in its name would have a different effect.

This is a beautifully designed card. It has much fewer of the issues of traditional auras, since the +1/+1 counters stay on the creature even if the aura's removed. Obviously Ring of Kalonia is a better fit for green decks, but in heavy blue evolve, this is a godsend. Only one green in the cost, accelerates card draw with Fathom Mage or creature buff with Master Biomancer, and is an early game powerhouse with Experiment One. I would pick this in limited, and probably even run it in casual.

Also, I'm Corpsejack Menace and this is my favorite common on the Citadel.

It's a shame they printed this now when Primal Cocoon is still fairly recent. Forced Adaptation is de facto strictly better than Primal Cocoon (but not completely so, due to, for example, Feedback, to which Primal Cocoon would provide you with an out by attacking). Although I guess if you built a deck around it, you might run the cocoons as backup copies.

You know what, though? Fascinatingly, Primal Cocoon is rated more highly than this card!

@Kirbster: not strictly better than momentum because it doesn't hinder creatures with undying. that being said, that's the only condition that i can think of where it works only slightly better.

i keep dumping this on my two-headed giant partner's typhoid rats on turn one. next turn alpha authority. third turn, madcap skills. gg
