Nice Card for Modern.
Beside that one could think they feared G/W/x Token-Decks might become to good.
I hope we won't see a Bitterblossom unban because of this card.

Probably won't play it but I can see why it got printed. G/W token decks are doing pretty well in Standard and it is kind of a pain to catch up to you opponent's Growing Ranks late in the game.

Because Electrickery, Supreme Verdict, Killing Wave, Cyclonic Rift, Izzet Staticaster and Mizzium Mortars just weren't nuking the tokens quickly enough.

This card got you bummed? Sideboard in Blood Artist and Falkenrath Noble into whatever deck you're running. works best with B/W token decks. Lingering souls now nets you life in addition to hitting for a turn. Going out of standard, Varchild's War-Riders is amused.

Darkest Hour, +Illness in the Ranks, + Blood Artist, + Teysa, Orzhov Scion
Every time a creature you control dies.... opponent loses a life, and you gain a life... plus create a 0/0 creature that instantly dies... repeat!
No Blood Artist?... then it's a draw, as this will repeat indefinitely.
