Vaas... is that you? Why are you dressed like a Rakyat warrior?

I like him, not only because of his abilities but because of flavor. From flavor texts of other cards he's very nature loving but not without wisdom, and not blindly obedient like Sarkhan. He gives a R/G deck stability in the long run if it ever gets that far.

Maybe I'm an optimist, but I LOVE this card. I love it enough to put it in Modern Jund, and maybe Legacy. With a Dark Confidant on the board, anything which can help to control draws is awesome. Combine that with a CMC low enough for Bloodbraid Elf to Cascade into, and you have a star. His second ability is very relevant too, letting you trade a token for a Dark Confidant, or to kill a Deathrite Shaman with a Bloodbraid Elf. Jund loves this guy. I already ordered my set.

He's another good planeswalker. Done right, his + ability is literally a free card, as is his - ability. And if you get to his ultimate, it's basically game over, as it should be.

Its not hard to predict this will become a staple in in r/g and naya aggro decks as long as it remains in standard.

Pulled him at the prerelease, and he was just incredible. I believe he'll be even stronger in constructed formats.

I can see the uses but R/G isn't really my bag. I would have been more stoked with U/B or U/R . Here's hoping for the next set. Still, 4/5

edit: Wow. played a proxy copy of him and totally changed my mind. Just being able to draw more helps sooooo much. Didn't get the chance to pull off the ultimate but I'm totally sold on it.

Use Mwonvuli Beast Tracker to tutor things on top of your library for him to grab you :D.

Some of my favorites:
Acidic Slime
Ghor-Clan Rampager
Elderscale Wurm

His fight ability really makes him amazing though. Make your slime or other deathtouch creature fight something much larger for great results as always :).

Honestly, they made Gruul Primmie-Punks between this guy and Rubblebelt Raiders. Time to build a sweet punk deck. Would it get too convaluted if I tried to fit Salvage Slasher in?
