Nice touch for Dimir. Guildless, but helpful to the cause.

What's with all the black mill in this set?

Yeah, it's about time that Kaalia gets something cool other than an angel.

What's with all the black mill in the set? Oh, I don't know, it's not like Gatecrash features Dimir or anything...

Broken? Not even close.

That said, I can see this guy, as a singleton, going into esper control decks as an alternative win condition to milling or even just to make you spend mana on removal while they bleed you dry. I look forward to seeing this used creatively as an alternative to Grislebrand for those of us who can't afford to buy one.

I do, however, wish he were easier to splash.

Geez... nasty!

I feel sorry for Lord of the Pit, standing alone in the corner, saying, "But I have trample?! Doesn't that count for something?!"

Curves right after Hellcarver demon, and his twin brother...

Honestly, not that good. I mean, if you've hard cast this guy and you're swinging on turn 8, he's gonna kill your opponent before his mill ability even matters. That's the rub with all the hate on vanilla creatures: if its big enough, the abilities don't really matter.

I played a guy who ran this in a Blue/Black mill deck. He put Infinite Reflection on it and things got really nasty. Thankfully, I drew a Cursebreak and he didn't take enough creatures from me to really cause problems. Still, a scary card in the right deck.
