This is not a Hellrider type card. It serves a different purpose. This is a fun "play dudes and kill them RAHHHHH card".
You do dumb stuff like play Incresing Devotion or Lingering Souls (less dudes and more colours but it's a good card). Or maybe in a dumb Séance deck, who knows. Maybe Theros will give us something.

I get that, because he costs 4 and doesn't win the game as soon as he hits the field, he isn't a good choice for competitive constructed play. But I so want to run a red/green kitchen table deck and drop him followed by Kalonian Hydra. Swing for 10 trample damage turn four (assuming a mana dork on turn 1 or 2).

Much like Mindsparker, this is a good card that would have been AMAZING if it were just given Haste. As it is, it's a decent Red aggro replacement for when Hellrider rotates out, making your one drops much more useful late game. Hopefully another good one comes around in Theros, however; otherwise Red-aligned Aggro decks will struggle a bit.

I both like the cost on this - powerful but not too crazy - and the fact that it fits either weenie strategies (the token thing) or finisher strategies.
