Want it. Play in a scry heavy deck and you're giving away minimal tactical advantage by revealing cards, plus getting card advantage every single turn, if not zapping chump blockers or 3 to the opponents face. Very fun.

If you want to consistently deal damage with his ability, try Countryside Crusher.

His ability should be "Reveal the first card you draw on each turn." I mean it is red blue and you can very easily get/most likely get cards in every turn and not even your own ones. Otherwise I really like him. His abilities suit his flavour and colours and he doesn't rely on having other creatures out to be useful.

This is really sweet but not terribly good for the common Izzet deck. I'm sure there are plenty of midrange decks that would love to play this guy I mean, damn.
-He's a 6/5 for 5 (sometimes)
-He does something very useful every turn regardless.
The best thing about him is how well he fits into that midrange tank category. Late game you want value out of your draws to play your large spells. Drawing lands is not optimal for most decks in this category, but this guy gives you an extra card for it! Sure, it might be a land card as well, but I'd rather draw 2 lands in 1 turn than 2 lands in 2 turns. He can additionally burn away blockers or just ping your opponent down even as an enchantment. While I think that he could have cost 1 less, he's still quite solid at 5 and is certainly one of the better gods. 4/5

@Bray you know what else forces you to reveal the card you "draw"? A couple of real turds come to mind: Dark Confidant,Gifts Ungiven,autoca... (see all)

Anyone who says this card is bad because it "reveals every card you draw" clearly doesn't understand red-blue. You you use blue scry effects to pick which card is revealed, to limit enemy knowledge and use the effect you want, simultaneously. Additionally, if you reveal a land, you draw an extra unseen card, which isn't really an advantage for the opponent. If you reveal a spell, you get to bolt! How great is that? Also, you are playing Blue-Red, meaning you're going to either go fast, control, or both. None of these strategies really care that the opponent knows your next trick. "Oh hey, look, it's a lightning bolt. Bolt ya with Keranos, then bolt ya with the bolt!" In that scenario it hardly matters that your opponent knew what spell you were playing five seconds before you played it. My only criticism of this guy is that his devotion effect might not activate often. However, since red has a lot of little creatures, rather than permanents that cost a lot of colorless filler, it may h... (see all)

Nicely depicts Keranos both as "God of Prophecy" and "God of Storms".

@EvilDarkVoid

Honden of Seeing Winds is completely different from this. That card isn't indestructible. That card doesn't become a creature. That card doesn't deal 3 damage. Same with Staff of Nin. Remember that all you need to have out for this to be a creature is Dominus of Fealty.

Also, mediocre stats? In comparison to what? How many of the gods have higher power than this guy? Iroas, Mogis, and that's it. Don't forget that he is indestructible, which means that it barely ever matters how much toughness he has.

Agree with whoever said that it needed to be "Reveal the first card you draw on each turn", something like the Miracles. Well, with some convolute wording it could have even been on every draw. Something like: "If you would draw a card, reveal it instead. If it's a nonland card Lightning Bolt then draw that card. If it's a land card, draw 2 cards." Note that it's not a endless loop, Blood Scrivener uses a similar template... Not that it's something that I'd like, I think that simply the miracle version would have been just perfect!
3.5/5

However, I wonder what it's up between the creative team and gods.
Onslaught Block: Karona, False God
Kamigawa Block: well, gods everywhere!
Ravnica Block: there were the Nephilim, that were some kind of god if I recall right.
Llorwyn Block: 10 demigods.
Zendikar Block: 3 gods that actually are some of the biggest and badassest (I know it's not actually a word...) creature in the whole mu... (see all)
