Ok, odd ruling question here.
Does it need to be on the battlefield to work? Or can you for instance, wave it in your opponent's face until they read it and then tell them they're stoned.
Or in a more possible situation, if an opponent uses an ability to look at your hand and they end up seeing it there, would it trigger?
Or if it's in your graveyard and they use a reanimation spell and read it while looking for targets, can a dead basilisk still get you stoned?
I'm thinking it can, I mean it is an Un card after all.
