Activation cost is a bit prohibitive, but this allows your ninjas to clear opposing creatures without requiring something unblockable to assist for ninjutsu
Of course without ninjas, this is very hard to use and can backfire since your opponent takes control of the equipment

one of the most flavorful cards i've ever seen. considering that the card pretty much follows the real world. you throw the shuriken, the opponent picks it up to throw at you, unless you're a sneaky ninja

Remember that you can reequip it to another ninja immediately and use it again, provided you have other ninjas to use. That makes it much more powerful -- it functionally gives all your ninjas 
, tap to do 2 damage as a sorcery, so in the late game they can take down very big things.
In my opinion it's still a bit clunky to use, though.
