Lurking Predators is much better than this, but lacks the video game reference that I spent my childhood growing up with.

3.5/5 pre M10, 2/5 post M10.

but still, its a good card, just outdated.

Judging by the fact that those troops are probably 1/1's and there's a large number of them, that Wurm is likely a 40/40 or something...
4/5 Stars

Unfortunately, doesn't synergism well with old Gruul creatures who want some damage done before they hit the field. Hilarious, though.

Looks like good EDH material, maybe follow up with a debtors' knell if you're running some sort of janky 5 color goodstuff.

It ain't a bad card, just outdated as mentioned before.
However if you really feel the need to throw it into a deck, then I suggest to pair it with Sundial of the Infinite.
Of course you will have one less slot left, but it will turn out that the 2 of them together will offer you more benefit than Lurking Predators does.
Haste ain't an ability to be overlooked that easily folks.
