@kikke Then why the heck are you still commenting on cards? Shouldn't you be doing something else, like complaining about them cutting Viva Pinata on 4kids?

I don't think this would be played much, if reprinted today. Yes, it's efficient as heck, but cards need a proper environment to thrive in- just look at Phyrexian Obliterator. From what I understand, this guy gave Draw-Go type of decks a strong creature (Morphling helped, as well.) These days, Draw-Go doesn't really exist anymore and the card disadvantage would probably leave a bad taste in people's mouths. Cards can't really be judged in a vacuum- environment is everything. A card could be absolutely fantastic, but if it doesn't have the proper support, it's just an orphan.

That said, I still think Masticore is awesome. I would probably play him in a deck that took advantage of the discard- Madness or Reanimator.
