I hate playing verse this card, and its x4 of all day in modern.
Seriously, it cripples my RDW so hard.
Lifegain is very good when tacked on to a random card.
.5/5 for being the cream of the crop, and 8$ for an uncommon.

The dual colour cost means we will likely never see it again but man this card is annoying. Persist means he doesn't care too much about death and the power of 3 then 2 means he will often take out more than one creature as well as netting you a decent amount of life.

Very strong card. Without mentioning all the crazy combos, can still survive a wrath of god or most removal. Unhinged should make a card called Kitchen Sinks! it would have persist with like a leak counter on it or something -.-

This, melira and vicera seer for infinite life and the ability to stack any card in your deck as your next draw. I'd take that. The card itself is good.

Yeah, this card's pretty sick. Notice that Jund decks, that have little relevance to this card, are playing 4.
Also, @ mykatdied: There's also the in-deck combo with Melira, Sylvok Outcast, Viscera Seer, and Murderous Redcap for infinite damage. And draw-stacking.
