Sweet thx for mentioning those, and of course how could I forget Goblin Tunneler *forehead slap*

This looks like one of those cards you see in duel-decks from time to time that is "bad" in a vacuum, but has fun interactions with other cards in the deck or can exploit some part of the opposing deck surprisingly well.

"Attach Bear Umbra and set up Aggravated Assault for infinite attacks of infinite damage."

Infinite attacks allow you to kill someone with a Chimney Imp. It would actually be easier to kill players in that scenario with the Imp, as it has flying to it's credit.

This card is terrible. You basically have a 5/3 for five, but some are ignoring those horrible stats because it has the potential to grow with additional attacks in the same turn. But practically every creature benefits from extra attacks. The additional bonus this thing gets is completely "win more".

Wow, that's even worse than Hollow Dogs.
The dogs are even strictly better when disregarding colors -
and i can't remember black single-colored creatures being better than green ones!

A reprint of Panther Warriors would have been far cooler in my opinion.
If these were not what Wizards wanted for M10, maye a functional reprint of them,
or even a nerfed variant could also have been done instead.

Maybe they also just wanted to impress new players with a +5/+0 effect, tricking them into liking bad cards :D

Yeah, i know some of you don't like the term 'strictly better', and you could argue that Bramble Creeper gets better if you use something like Relentless Assault. But all that 'strictly better' tries to express is the general use:
Even an Eager Cadet can get better than an Ardent Recruit if Muraganda Petroglyphs is in play, nobody denies that.

And now with Innistrad, this both benefits from Mentor of the Meek and bypasses Smite the Monstrous. Drawback my left buttcheek.

I don't think this card deserves some of the complaints about it- for one thing, it's 5 unblockable damage if you happen to have a Goblin Tunneler to help him along.

Sure it has places where it shines, but most of the time it can be thought of as a 5/3 for {4G} that gets -5/-0 if it's not attacking

Anyway, really bad unless you have 2 combat phases.

Becomes a house with extra combat phase effects, and is highly splashable. I feel like there are a couple narrow decks where triggering the ability multiple times will be quite feasible.

@Mode: The term you're looking for is "better". "Strictly better" has a very specific mechanical meaning and is reserved for looking at cases of strict power creep.

Like someone mentioned, Goblin Tunneler helps this guy tremendously, while you're at it, give it double strike or additional combat phases since you're playing Red

Neat card, I think it would have been a strong card while remaining fair if it costed 4 though
