This guy is nice, yet I still prefer Vampire Lacerator because having two power allows it to trade with a lot more creatures, and having 2 toughness allows it to 'eat' a lot more creatures.
I run these with Kalastria Highborn to make sure they usually take at least 3 life during most attacks.

No, Life loss is not damage. Damage is life loss.
The two are not interchangeable. This does not trigger Chandra's Spitfire's effect.

Love it. Great way to quickly power up a Bloodchief Ascension in the early game, and giving it some sort of evasion can do the same thing for the later game.

You could combo it with additional combat steps for more damage, red helps...

Sadly, my play circle sees this poor vampire as a giant bullseye. It might have something to do with me always accompanying it with a Mindcrank, though.
