I use this in a mono green mana acceleration elf deck. Elvish Herder is his best friend in that deck. though maybe Priest of Titania or Elvish Archdruid could fight for that title. I use elf token generators to create swarms of elves and then get a 40/40 trampler along with like 10 3/3s (1/1 elves pumped by the archdruid or Imperious Perfect) all of this by turn five

I pulled a foil one out of a Worldwake fat pack. I don't normally play green, but having this guy makes me really want to. Could make an interesting EDH general. 4.5*

So you can tap out and not worry about your opponent call your bluff that you don't have a Fog...also this thing is freaking amazing, though I usually wait to play him until I have enough mana to equip a Whispersilk Cloak on him right when he comes out
@Sironos: I've always wondered that, along with why they don't play Whispersilk Cloak Momentous Fall (which gives obscene card advantage when they sac it in response to a Go For the Throat), but I think it's because they just wanna play what's hot because it's proven to be good...I think that more people should try fringe builds because people won't expect it, and therefore won't be able to necessarily sideboard-in some counter to it

Can get out of control incredibly fast. Lacks trample, but for a damn good reason.
And when your opponent attempts to remove him on their turn, cast Comet Storm (or, if you're doing mono-green, Strength of the Tajuru) and laugh in their face.

Got a foil version of this card and a basilisk collar at the release of worldwake, the only problem is that it almost always gets destroyed once it hits the field.
