Any cheaper and this would have been a standard force to be reckoned with. As is, just a smidge too slow for competitive, but still a great card.

I would still use this guy even if it was just the repeatable super-efficient draw engine. This guy is about two steps away from being a plainswalker.

His favorite test subject is Stuffy Doll. You have to admit, that was probably the first thing you thought of when you read this card.

Am i the only one to notice that he seems to have dropped everything to stare at some orb he conjured in the MIDDLE OF A FRIGG'N BATTLE!?!?!? I mean, look a the backround! Sh*T has hit the Fan! Should'nt he be shooting something?

I'm putting this guy in my Galvanic Alchemist/Axebane Guardian combo deck. It will be nice to be able to draw extra cards every turn, and I might be able to draw 4 or 6 extra cards thanks to Galvinic Alchemist.

This card could have a lot of other uses too. Like maybe...

T1: Izzet Guildgate
T2: Island, Deranged Assistant
T3: Mountain, Mercurial Chemister
T4: Island, Stuffy Dolll.
T5: Mountain, Galvanic Alchemist, tap Assistant then Infernal Plunge it, Tap Chemister and sacrifice Omniscience, targeting Stuffy Doll. Untap it with Galvanic alchemist and sacrifice another Omniscience. Game.
