I can think of one very important reason to run this over Jhessian Infiltrator: the Merfolk creature type.

I love that art, pity about the border though I'm really not a fan of the early Gold cards. This is the kinda' art I'd love to see more of in Simic at the moment. In any case, it's a solid enough card, no qualms there. 3/5 for the card, 5/5 for the art.
