If they reprint the Shock lands then there will be lots of islands for this guy to walk on. Even if they don't Simic, Izzet, Dimir, Azorius are all getting Islandwalked on anyway.

@Arachnos Lord of Atlantis gives all Merfolk the bonus, this only gives your Merfolk the bonus.

Well, Simic is now run by a Merfolk lady now, which means that Gatecrash may hold a small amount of synergy for the new Lord of the Fish.

I find it curious that he himself doesn't have islandwalk. Not that it's a problem most of the time, especially if you get out multiples.

This card is absolutely amazing and that's why I have a small problem with it. I don't quite understand why blue is the colour that gets 2 2 mana lords. I never really thought blue was supposed to be aggressive and if any colour should have 2 mana lords it should be white. Perhaps I'm jealous because white weenies is my favourite type of deck but it just confused me. Blue already has such a massive part of the colour pie why does it have to get the most aggressive tribe as well? I know White has Crusade and Honor of the Pure but those aren't on aggressive bodies which makes them pretty different.
