@myztikrice/Silver-Paladin Strictly better has nothing to do with what can target it. These are the two scenarios in which something is strictly better
A) It accomplishes the same thing for less mana or less color restrictive mana options (IE the difference between {2}{W} or {1}{W}{W})
B)It does more of something which can in most scenarios be considered beneficial (IE cantrip) for the same mana cost. (Note that cards that cost the same as unsummon but have the creature's controller lose one life is not strictly better.)

@atemu1234
...no...you're wrong...strictly better really only makes sense if there is literally no situation short of change of control that makes it better to have the other. Otherwise there are certainly meta's/decks that would prefer either side. The only times I've really been willing to say strictly better are searing spear vs. lightning bolt and greatsword vs. vulshok battlegear

The amount of lifegain you can get from this guy is crazy, plus he is a very solid blocker.

Not a bad card at all; I find the issue with is is actually finding room for it in a lifegain deck. Between Wall of Reverence, Wrath of God and Well of Lost Dreams, that 4 mana slot is already pretty clogged in many mono-white lifegain decklists.

Yep, a couple of these guys, some Beacon of Immortalities, maybe in a soul sisters format with an archangel of thune or two and you have a pretty savage lifegain recipe.

He does absolute work in my modern deck with Soul Warden/Suture Priest and Divinity of Pride/Vampire Nighthawk (ok so hes good with just about any life gain).
