This inspires me to make a Merfolk Swarm deck with every iteration of Coral Merfolk, Merfolk of the Pearl Trident, and this.

Currently my only form of draw in my Nylea devotion deck is Bred for the Hunt, I'm tempted of turning it more into Simic. I'm thinking of taking out my Corpsejack Menace, and in turn black entierly, out of my deck, and simply make it a Green and Blue instead. Sure, Corpsejack is nice and all, especially with Evolve and +1/+1 counters in general being the center focus of the deck, but I'd rather be able to draw more consistantly, then IF I have +1/+1 counters on my creatures and IF their attacks connect.

And it could force them to attack into a wall of deathtouch creatures...
And easily end the game.... Love it...

First a Colossal Whale for the M14 release.

Now a 'Bident' for the Theros release.

Before we know it they'll be giving us a fishing boat in Born of the Gods. I think WOTC wants us all to become fishermen.

I'm kind of interested in trying this with Isperia, Supreme Judge and Aetherize. Maybe even running some of the Hunted cycle for Modern (i.e. Hunted Phantasm for funsies.

Let me explain possibly my favorite 2-card combo currently in Standard.
Play Palisade Giant.
Then play this.
{T} for to make all your opponent's creatures attack
block nothing
take no damage
Attack for one bajillion
Draw one bajillion cards
????
Profit!

Does Bident of Thassa stack with Warriors' Lesson? Effectively doubling my card draw?

This legendary weapon is odd, in that it's more independent than the others. It does compliment Thassa's unblockable ability, but the bident can handle itself as far as making card-drawing-contact is concerned, and her scry just doesn't relate. It would make more sense if the scry occured before combat, but after the initial card draw.

This card makes me so happy, I love the interactions between this and Bow of Nylea, Anthousa, Setessan Hero, and even Spear of Heliod.
