Let me just say, beforehand. I am hugely biased towards Derevi.
I have a Derevi EDH, my friend has Roon. We both completely own our local EDH metas.
I always end up winning though, the reason being;
1. Derevi is nigh un-removable.
2. She wants to hit you in the face, even slightly catering to that gets insane. (Heliod, God of the Sun, Edric, Bident of Thassa, Augury Adept, Mosswort Bridge, Windbrisk Heights, Medomai the Ageless, even the mighty and feared Stasis is trivial if you have Heliod out.)
3. She can untap your lands, or permanents, so you have blockers, or just straight win. You have no idea how many times I've won just because I set up something before the attack, like Mosswort, or just dealing with a threat, then going off.
My friends Roon actually beats Derevi 1v1 though. It is more of ... (see all)
