@JL2736: No, this cannot be used to deal with ETB triggered abilities, as those trigger before players get priority. It also does not work with vanishing, as that triggers at the beginning of the upkeep.

Very useful utility card. Besides the already mentioned uses of turning eldrazi into sheep, this card can also be cast in response to your own phyrexian dreadnought's trigger, or any other creature with a negative ETB trigger. It can also be used to keep your permanents with vanishing from being sacrificed, and i'm sure this is just the beginning.

EDIT: @Corey_bayoudragonfly: If you read the rulings on this card, it specifically states that this card CAN deal with vanishing. Also, ETB abilities do not resolve before players get priority, so they can be responded to (for instance, the well-known example of playing Stifle on phyrexian dreadnought).

Two mana to have my 1/1 creature destroy your legendary at instant speed? How can you not love that....

This is better than any card that has "gives creature -/-" and way more fun to play.

I read this as 'Destroy target blocking or blocked creature'

Was playing a FFA when someone decided to play this in response to me declaring Ajani's Pridemate an attacker, as a 12/12 (10 +1/+1 counters on it).

Others reactions: Pointless, it's still a 10/11 coming at your face...

Person being attacked: I guess. Kinda worthless. *takes 12*

My thoughts: Not entirely worthless, but kind of as it removes the ability to add counters to it.

@JL2736:

Maybe you should reread the rulings on ETB effects. Lets take your Phyrexian Dreadnought example.

Phyrexian Dreadnought enters the battlefield, since no one has priority before it's ETB ability can trigger, it triggers and goes on the stack.

Then in response you Ovinize it. Ovinize goes on the stack above the triggered ability. Ovinize resolves.

Now Phyrexian Dreadnought's triggered ability goes to resolve, you still have to sacrifice creatures equally 12 power or the Dreadnought itself. Just because the original ability is gone, doesn't mean the existing one on the stack goes away.

Hoped that turning my goats into sheep would save them from Goatnapper. Alas, creature type remains unchanged, and my goats continue to be at risk.

My buddy was about to wreak defensive havok on me with his Creepy Doll... until it grew and sprouted wool. This card plus any sort of damaging creature/planeswalker/spell is a must if you simply can't beat that deck full of indestructables or things that punish you for combatting them, and the nullification of abilities is pretty sweet in and of itself.

It really is too bad it does not change the creature type, or else I would have thrown this in my Goatnapper deck.
