3.5 stars? this card is amazing!!! this is one of the easiest way to play any of the big eldrazi without paying any mana. I used him in a draft. let me tell you, in one turn, i played about 4 creatures, 2 ulamogs crushers, one it that betrays and some small creature. I managed to play two awesome spells, flame slash and hyena umbra. Now in one turn i was able to get 32 attack power out and all i had to do was sac 5 lands and a couple of creatures. I won in 7 turns. 5/5 for me

This is a card that can be and needs to be broken. Otherwise it's a terrible, terrible card that's just saying "kill the guy who summoned me, he's weak!"

VonWolf nailed it. This is the perfect reanimator target. It lets you discard creatures that make it to your hand, put creatures into play for free, and Reanimate them for free.

When I see big expensive creature cards like this that say "When this creature deals combat damage" I think if I'm in the position where I've got a 6/6 flyer damaging the opponent then I am already in a winning position. It takes a well thought out deck to get the most of this creature ability and I'm not sure it's worth the effort.

gravity well puts a stop to hellcarver demon....but as for emakrull......hes nearly unstoppable in my eyes..
