"Anything you can do, I can do better...."

I'm going to have to inquire as to what happens when you throw Evil Twin on a Vesuvan Doppleganger. I don't think there's a way to make it able to switch creatures every turn and retain its kill ability, but it would be funny.

Of course, you can always just bounce the guy and recast him. It's not like blue has any spells that do that or anything.

I love this guy. He's a clone and creature removal all in one little package. I put him in almost every black/blue deck I make. Playing him against huge creatures with no removal defence - Lord of Extinction, Platinum Emperion - is a treat. But my favorite moment of Innistrad cards had to be when my friend used his stupid Fauna Shaman/Elvish Piper to get out a Blightsteel Colossus.
Me: Evil Twin. Cackling Counterpart.
Next Turn: Flashback Cackling Counterpart

I do love this card.
Excellent clone variant.

Wonder if this works:
Opponent animates a land (eg/ Vivify on a forest), cast Evil Twin, targeting Forest.
Now you have a Forest Evil Twin, right?
Would Evil Twin's destroy ablilty be able to target the forest next turn (after Vivify comes off), or would it, as I believe, be unable to as the ability states "creatue with the same name"?

Anyway, worth splahing black in my blue red theft/copy deck.

4.5/5

I absolutely LOVE this card. It actually won me a game last night. I managed to draw this guy on the turn before my opponent was about to kill me with his Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. I copied his Mikey, taking out his only other blocker, and managed to finish the game.

And then there's the time when i copied my Cryptoplasm, which was a copy of my opponent's Sun Titan...

What if the creature copied IS evil? Would he be a GOOD Twin or just a MORE Evil Twin?

So if this copied an undying/persist creature, when it dies, does it get to come back with a +1/+1 or -1/-1 counter? If so, does it come back as a copy of anything? Because if so, if you had an undying and a persist creature in play, you could play this and alternate what it comes back as for a casual combo deck

It would be interesting to copy someone's legendary creature. The legend rule would apply, and both creatures would be removed, right? Or would it be that their creature was removed, since it was in play first, and you got to keep your evil twin copy on the battlefield?

It would also be interesting to copy Gideon Jura while he is in creature mode =)

I was always confused by the card art before. At first glance, it looked like the guy in the back was the Evil Twin creeping up ready to slit the guy's throat. Now I see the dark expression on the one in the front's face, and see the guy in the back doing a double-take at someone who looks just like him.
