Seems to reliably win on turn 4 or 5 against any deck that isn't running very much control.

This thing likes to come out on turn four using Channel of the Suns and equipped with lightning greaves
and goes and Fetches Maelstrom Wanderer for another Maelstrom Archangel, good times had by half the players.

If you can get this thing into play and help it survive long enough to actually hit a player then this is a brilliant card. In particularly, this pairs well with cards with Bloodthirst - if you get a hit with it on turn 6 (possible whilst defending your card with mana accel), for instance, Carnage Wurm gives you a 9/9 with trample and Furyborn Hellkite gives you a 12/12 with flying. Turn 6. And you still have enough mana free to play another creature!

Interesting choice for reanimator since the casting cost can make it difficult to drop normally and it lets you cheat your fatties in from your hand if you're short on reanimation/discard

Turn 2 progenitus anyone?

Turn 1 drop A swamp. Play dark rit play cabal therapy name maelstrom archangel and discard it. Play exhume to bring it back.
Turn 2 swing, drop progenitus.
Turn 3 swing again with both, win game.

@kiseki: Sorry, can't play this as your EDH general as she isn't a legendary creature.

Gatherer works better in the Companion app!
