Hoping this is in Gatecrash or Dragon's Maze — it's been a little too long without these guys.

This card doesn't have anything to do with lands. You don't use a land from your deck or your hand. You simply add the mana to your pool so you can use it. Think of it like it's a land card, you just tap it and it produces mana.

5/5. Simple. Effective and oh so useful.

I will say though one thing; I get this art for this in Ravnica. The whole "City Plane" thing (not a fan, btw), but I wish afterwards they went back to the 7th/8th edition art. This just looks so cheezy.

My personal favorite creature ever made.

Also, this card is probably the least expensive rare to buy in relation to how well it is loved by players. Currently $5 rare. Maybe simply because there have been so many printed?

How many Birds of Paradise does it take to paint a cathedral?
Depends on how hard you tap it.

They really missed it when they didn't put this in Return to Ravnica.
