Only let the stratagists handle this card, or you're dealing more damge to yourself then your opponents.

When I think of something thats truly worthy of holding the Legendary status in the MTG world, the image of this sword is always the first thing to come to mind. Its always irked the hell out of me that it is not in fact "Legendary"... Even the flavor text marvels at it's awesome power.

As for working with the mechanic, I think the most fun you can have with it, is swinging while its attatched to Phylactery Lich. Just make sure you've got him bound to the sword, or some darksteel... or it could hurt you just as much.

@kor6sic6: It's certainly not a card you would build a deck around, but if you know how to use it properly (Phylactery Lich), it's a great addition.

I need information, me and my friend are arguing about weather it destroys only the opponents permanents or all the permanents on the field. He says a card like that would be useless if it destroyed all the permanents on the field. Please someone prove him wrong!

I really love decimating my opponent with this, attached to a 1/1 Silver Myr, and having Darksteel Forge out.
