As of the new legend rule, this guy just got a lot better in EDH.
Previously, all clone variants were utilised more than you'd expect in EDH to be able to kill almost without fail the opponent's general. They can't do that now, but Evil Twin can (barring hexproof/indestructibility). In fact, he does it again and again until he gets killed, locking out your opponent's general very effectively and possibly giving you a powerhouse creature too.

Since they changed the legend ruling, this card is my new favorite shapeshifter for U/B! Clone no longer is a situational kill card? Ha! But this guy is! Plus this card reminds me of Army of Darkness! 5/5

Just noticed it says "may" so you can have it enter the battlefield as a 0/0 and immediately die if you wanted to for whatever reason.
