A Heavily Nerfed Mox, but a mox Nonetheless. You know how dementedly Overpowered that the Moxes were when a ledgendary one that produces One of any color is STILL FRIGGIN AMAZING!

Can you have a Mox Opal on the field, send out another Mox Opal, activate their abilities, and then send them to the graveyard?

Had a booster wars with a store owner. She got Koth and I got a Mox Opal (this was back when Koth was worth 40$ and Mox Opal was 10$ or less). I was thinking "Aw so close to getting a Koth!" I even managed to put Volition Reins on it and win the booster war. Thank God we weren't playing where winner can swap packs or I totally would have! It'd of been a thirty dollar gain back then. Koth is now worth just over 3$. Needless to say I'm glad I still have my Opal.

I got 1 of these in a large trade without knowing what it was worth. (Same person I got my revised demonic tutor from) I still like the tutor better, even though they are about equal in value.

Whats up with all the negativity? Seriously people when Wizards pops out a brainless no-skill card then everyone complains. But when they print an insanely powerfull card that isn't an auto include to every deck out there, that has drawbacks and requires from YOU to actually have some skill in utilizing it to its fullest potential, you still whine. Pathetic.
Anyway, Arcbound Ravager and this baby for some hot artifact action
EDIT
Also, yeah it has restrictions but that's a GOOD thing, plus guess what, so do Diamond and Chrome, the only other Moxen to not be banrestricted in every other format and its cousin
5/5 to Wizards for getting a card right

I put 4 in my deck and because of the legend rule, if I get one in my hand I'll just sac the one on the field to Arcbound Ravager and play the new one.

Wizards had a moment of brilliance here. By making it legendary, it's very unlikely it will have to be restricted in Vintage. If it weren't legendary it would be restricted in a heartbeat. You can still play 4 in a deck and up your odds of getting it first turn, but at least you can't drop 3 in play first turn and have them all get metalcraft off each other.

I will say, it is quite easy to get it usable first turn in Vintage... Seat of the Synod, play any Sol Ring/Mana Vault/Divining Top/Voltaic Key, not to mention other moxes. And there you go. In the right deck, pulling it first turn should nearly always allow you to use it first turn.

EDIT: After some testing in Vintage decks, I now regard this as the strongest Mox ever made. Yep, it's even better than the original 5. The only 0cc mana artifact I'd rate higher in terms of how it impacts the game is the Lotus (maybe lion's eye, too, tough to say). It's just far far too easy to get 3 artifacts in play very quickly in Vintage. The me... (see all)

@ Technetium: Oh how in less than a week things can change. If you thought this was the best Mox before...

Price just jumped $10 in the last 2 days (Thanks Legendary rule change)! I suspect it'll become Vintage restricted on the next round of bannings, since Lotus Petal already is, and I'm concerned it'll go the way of Seething Song in Modern too. I'm hoping not, but Wizards hasn't been letting the meta take care of itself so far, so I don't know why they would start now.
