my personal flavor text: yes the book was big so the guy drew another card.

I like the guy's giant book, and the card has a nice, clean layout what with just a single line of text.
It's really expensive, though.

That flavor text was the best because it was Bacon.

The mana cost is because the book is sooooo big! Sooooo heavy!

The art is really good, and matches the black border better.

Obviously this is meant to combo with March of the Machines and Training Grounds.

Wow. lotta old school hate going on. the book is balanced. 4 mana=1 card. been that way since revised. most ways around that are either; A: BLUE, B: painful to the caster in some way, C: completely broken and banned to hell and gone, or finally D: all the above. solid 3/3.5 star

Out-of-date? Yes indeed. However, it's one of my favorite "old school" cards I love to put in my multiplayer casual decks.

Its best friend is Grand Architect. Tap two Blue creatures to cast this and to pay for the ability.
