Is this superior to Last Rites for hellbent mechanics? I'm thinking yes, since the other requires cards in your hand to do anything.

As I am a bad person, I use this card in Four Card Blind because it pretty much guarantees a win on the play. Another perfect example of why symmetrical effects are never really symmetrical.

This is the only card in magic that does what it does. A few thoughts, since I've built a craploads of decks around using this card:
IT NAILS EVERY SINGLE OPPONENT
IT DISCARDS THREE CARDS
IT EMPTIES YOUR HAND (EVERY TIME)
One With Nothing is a potent effect for the decks that need it, although it's not worth it at sorcery speed (Putrid Imps is better). Delirium Skeins is a One With Nothing with card advantage built in. Rather than being a one-of combo piece, it's become MASSIVE hand disruption. The distance between two and three is so great in magic that you really have no idea until you've played a deck built around this card. At the very absolute least, you're going to empty half of your opponent's hand. At the most, you simply floor it into nothing.

I've been playing a lot of 3-player matches recently and found that my discard deck just didn't have enough disruption. Sure, Hymn to Tourach is great, but it only hits one player at a time - you run out of gas too fast with this method of attack.
No more! I burn through my hand fast enough that discarding whatever cards remain in my hand is worth making my opponents discard a good chunk of theirs. Puts them that much closer to being in Quest for the Nihil Stone / Shrieking Affliction / The Rack range.
I'm a sucker for symmetrical effects like this. Also sick with Geth's Grimoire.
