One of the most obsoleted cards ever printed, Leap exists, which is this card + cantrip. Neither ever sees any play, even in limited...Yet Wizards saw fit to reprint this card...

@ blindthrall: Only if they make Swim: U, Target nonblack creature gains islandwalk until end of turn.

Leap sees play in limited. Thins deck by 1 card, is a combat trick, combos with green flying killers.
This is garbage though.

This card was obsolete the moment it was originally printed. In Alpha. The first set ever. Note that Flight was also printed in Alpha.
Even Flight is now also largely obsolete, so that arguably makes Jump one of the worst cards in the game. Certainly not the worst card, but it's definitely bottom-of-the-barrel when it comes to giving a creature flying.

"Obsolete upon introduction". Maybe the idea was for it to be a 'surprise move'? "Ha! The Polar Kraken 'Jumps' and blocks your Serra Angel"? Dunno... Flight, of course
