Each Time Spiral card was an homage to at least one previously printed card.
This card is referencing Congregate.

Doesn't the art resemble the creepy figures on Doomsday?

congregate is better, If only this counted all creatures and didn't target. Not like congregate was very strong as it was.

The more I look back on Timespiral block, the more I like it.

The suspend is to deter them from playing creatures. This makes this a nifty card; you get the more-expensive but more-flexible Folk Medicine effect if you want, or you can pay the cheaper mind-screw cost and get a possibly slightly-smaller life gain a bit later but be a bit safer in that time. This is the kind of cool card that marked the Time Spiral block that I wish they'd do more of now.

I agree with ClockworkSwordfish in that an early suspend of this card could cause your opponent to think about the creatures that they play. However, if i were on the other side of this card's controller, I would simply cast as many dudes as I can and hopefully smash face before the suspend is up. At the very least play enough quality dudes that when this would resolve their combined power would be greater than that 2 life per creature gained. Good in theory, maybe not in practice. 2.5/5
