basically, here's how the ruling works: if you are playing a game involving this card and it is before June 15, 2010 but after October 4, 2004 and you bounce it before it resolves then you do not get an extra turn.
(thelasttroll errata: you get an extra turn anyway because you're awesome for achieving time travel)

Awesome with Necropotence, Channel, or any other pay life card. If you couldn't win this turn, it'll just give you another to finish your combo or w/e.

Opponents will be very carefull to deal enough damage to either kill you in one attack or knock you down to six life before dealing the finishing blow the next turn. Having your opponent avoid dealing small amounts of damage to widdle away at your health in its self could help you win the game.

I think this could be very useful thing, against any non-careful opponent, this is a 3 mana time walk. Lotsa fun with Teferi.

I've been in a few games where a player has 2 life but so many creatures that nobody will attack them. There are definitely good opportunities for this card.
Also, anything that you pay life for?
