I enjoy playing him with raise the alarm. It makes for some very surprised and frustrated opponents.

Thunder Spirit must be a beloved card at Wizards - both Thunder Totem and this card are homages to it. An uncounterable, flashable white flyer that also has first strike and provides the team with a Crusade is not to be underestimated, particularly against faeries or other decks that rely on counterspells or creature tokens. Even though he potentially buffs your opponents' Spectral Procession tokens too, it's still a fine card and a great addition to white weenie decks.

This is not just Crusade on legs (wings?). This is crusade with flash, and can't be countered!! (sort of).

I think that Split Second is my least favorite ability in the game, of course I am an avid control player, but I prefer cards that at least sort of offer the ability to respond. Split Second just kinda kills any chance to do anything about it...

This is slightly less egregious offenders of the split second cards, and I love cards that can alter the entire state of combat, especially when they can make a colossal blowout.
