WotC: Hey artist?
Artist: Yeah?
WotC: Paint a chaos lace please.
Artist: Sorry, a what?
WotC: A chaoslace.
Artist: What is it supposed to look like?
WotC: How should I know? Something with colors, and chaos, and whatnot.
Artist: OK.
WotC, shouting after him: And add some lace while you're at it!
Good old days of random art. I miss them.

There's a lot of neat tricks you can do with Chaoslace, but all are situational, and none are particularly good. Part of the problem with Chaoslace, and all laces for that matter, is that they are the color they turn stuff. If you're playing red, it's rare that you would ever want to turn one of your own cards red - they all ready ARE. And for that matter, why would you want to turn your opponent's card red? The laces are only playable in multi-colored decks. If you're holding a Blue Elemental Blast in your hand, Chaoslace becomes your best friend. If you have a Circle of Protection: Red in play and your opponent is bearing down on you with a Force of Nature, Chaoslace is invaluable. But if you're not playing red color hosers, this doesn't have much appeal.
