better than doomblade in most situations since there are more black creatures than elves in magic... and cooler IMO^^ i play 4 of them in my elf deck

Destroy target creature, at instant speed. Its amazing. You can even pair this with Curse of Death's Hold Just incase they do run elves. 2 curses out usually murders an elf deck. Making it this 2 cmc would have been broken.

I'd haaave to say better than doomblade, purely cuz if theyre running elves doom blade wont help much (there will aaaaalways be more) and black probably sees more play than elves id say

I love this card...I'm the only guy in my play group to play tribal anyhow, and the elves the others use generally aren't the kind I want to be wasting removal on anyway. I also love the fact I can tutor for it with Elvish Harbinger.

Also keep in mind that most elves are weenies, anyway. You don't usually want to use your kill spells on Llanowars or something; you want to save them for something big.
