Yea, why is a card that let's you survive mass removal for 2 mana, instant speed, considered to be worthy of only 2 stars? 4/5.

Great Artwork and offers an interesting perspecting to "blink" type cards, feels very black. You can trigger enter the battlefield and leave the battlefield triggers quite easily with 1/1's.

Also can make Undying Creatures stick around for a long time

In response to the guy who said it's rated so low because of Cauldron of Souls:

I don't understand why that's so. You don't necessarily need to use it on every creature you have for it to be worth the mana cost.

Undying Evil gives one creature Undying for one black mana. If you only give two creaturs Persist with this card, it's the equivalent of two Undying Evils. Except it's Persist instead of Undying. But still useful in decks where you want stuff to die and come back.

I'm planning on making a Proliferate Infect Deck around Core Prowler and Throne of Geth, and putting in playable sets of Undying Evil, Cauldron Haze, and other things to help me get my Core Prowlers back so I can sacrifice them again.

Want to make a casual deck with lots of x/1's with nice die effects like Doomed Traveler. Morbid loves this too, also Wakedancer loves dancing with these hag-ladies.

There may be better uses, but I like it in a Zubera deck alongside Devouring Greed.

If you like to troll your opponents, just play this when someone plays Wrath of God.

They get -1 / -1, but at least, they survive xD.
