I really, really want to build a deck around it - it's a beautiful card with great flavor, but even though I went and built a blue-green deck, this card rarely makes it out of my hand. Yes, being green, you have acceleration, but at the cost of all of your early creatures being mana dorks. Having stacked my deck with cards like Lorescale Coatl, Jhessian Infiltrator, and Sturdy Hatchling in order to take advantage of the Fable's token-generation capacity, those end up being the cards that win me the game. Especially with Edric, Spymaster of Trest having such great synergy with the Coatl and the Infiltrator, by the time I get the Fable out (which takes all available mana for one turn), I don't get to cast another creature until the next turn, and the tokens produced still have summoning sickness.
I gave it 4 stars, but that's based more on the idea of the card more than its actual usefulness
