It definitely has potential to be a monster but it was just to iffy to work out in professional competition. It's just not the most efficient at what it wants to be, which is a large beatstick for cheaps. Tarmogoyf just does it so much better than him all on its own, as well as figure of destiny and to a lesser extent chameleon colossus. However it is always tons of fun in a casual mulitiplayer game, which is where it really shines.

A red, slightly slower (although it does make your opponent uneasy) version of Lorescale Coatl. I'm sure people will find a way to utilize its Changeling ability as well.

Everytime I get him out in multiplayer, he is almost immediately Doom Bladed, Go for the Throat-ed, or Lightning Bolted. If only he was a 3/3. He'd be immune to Lightning Bolt, since casting it would make him a 4/4. Excellent card nonetheless. Trolls Slivers to high heaven.

One of the best changelings, second only to Chameleon Colossus probably. The reason Tarmogoyf isn't "better" than it is because this fits into your Goblin deck. This fits into your Vampire deck. This fits into your Elemental deck. Get it? Tarmogoyf might ramp faster with a different deck, but it's really comparing apples and oranges.

Remember, spells aren't just instants and sorceries. Every creature they cast, every artifact they drop, and this guy gets bigger. Add in tribal shenanigans and Fling, and you've got yourself something that's potentially very, very scary.
Just...don't champion him. Changeling Berserker isn't his friend.
