Great card for messing up your opponats game.

So this is made for a card game, right? Such that I and my opponent should be having fun while playing it, right?
When I see this I imagine a deck where my opponent spams Path to Exile and Doomblade culminate into a turn 5 or 6 fatty and this thing. Truly there is nothing for me to do but pray I can out aggro the relentless torrent of instant speed, low cost removal spells before this bomb smacks me in the face.
Similar problems exist with the current standard grixis control meta (Innistrad, first set). Galvanic Blast, Go for the Throat, and the number of counter spells in type hold the line for a Chandra, The Firebrand and Sorrin's Vengeance auto kill turn 7 and a very boring match.

3.7, are you kidding me? You have any idea how much tournament play this card gets?

Beautifully balanced card. The effect, while initially seemingly devastating, grows less and less relevant as the game goes on. The casting cost presents a challenge to deckbuilders: how to get this card on the table while the opponent's hand is still fat enough to make this card worth it? By way of comparison, its CMC is twice that of Mind Rot, although this card does exile the graveyard as well.
Still, I wouldn't feel like I got my money's worth unless the opponent discarded at least three cards and was damaged by the loss of his graveyard in some way.

@ darkfury:
I believe you mean Evacuation. Reality Strobe is a nice card with this as well.

Fantastic (and cruel) combo with Devastation Tide. Worth looking into for an Esper EDH with strong bouncing, or group hug card draw.

Nothing like being taken out of the game on turn 3-4.

In EDH, barring an incredible board position, this just knocks someone out of the game. It also ruins friendships, so yeah. No one ever wants to take one of these in multiplayer.

This is about the worst possible thing someone could do to you following up a wrath effect in edh. Absolutely brutal.
