Goblin Wielder for your hand? not bad, i guess. you might be able to use the bounce effect to your advantage as well.

Just a friendly reminder that returning the artifact to your hand is part of the activated ability cost, so you can in theory play the same exact card you returned to your hand again. This is outlined in the card's rulings as well, and allows the potential for some wicked bouncers, such as Filigree Angel.

Powerful if you can untap with it in play, but it's far to easy to get rid of and requires you to play clunky cards to make it worthwhile. Slightly better than elvish piper.

This card works well with ornithopter, insuring you bring out creatures for just one blue mana. Also if you have a transmuter on the field and another in your hand, you can block and before the damage step you tap for its ability and replace it with the transmuter in your hand and put in any random artifact you have. Keep repeating this and you technically have a blocker that can't die. And it's also good for bringing in artifact lands D:

@DarkbladeWraith: Her ability isn't a mana ability. A mana ability produces mana, like Birds of Paradise, Black Lotus or Plains, not one that requires mana as a cost. (Though there are mana abilities that require mana, too.) Mana abilities don't use the stack and can't be targeted, Master Transmuter's ability can be targeted, responded to and countered. Usually it doesn't matter though, if your opponent lets you untap with this in play, it's most likely game.

just use her effect with a bonesaw or a talisman of dominance (after you gain your colorless mana for it of course) and you no longer have a setback. use her effect with the filigree sages to pump out more than one 6 cost or better for 2. she should be a symbol of an artifact deck, she's symbolic of esper itself, how everything is made of etherium and how they can transmute anything into anything else

Rather than Ornithopter/Bonesaw/ect for 0, I prefer Sigil of Distinction, the X mana cost can be played for 0 to sit in wait of her ability, and in times of need, or lategame when you don't need the massive manapool, you can pump Sigil into a comeback card, at very worst you play it for 2 and give a creature +1/+1 so bonesaw beats it there, but in a transmuter deck that scenario is rare, and most likely wont have made the difference. Also, Sigil's biggest problem is the fact that it will eventually run out of counters if re-equipped multiple times, so bouncing with Master can help Sigil just as much as it helps Master by being fodder for more devistating artifacts.
Best choice for a bounce is an artifact you control being targeted with destruction or removal, but it seems like everyone agrees it's a good idea to run a few low/free casting cost artifacts to get the ball rolling, and Sigil is my favorite.

This card is pretty much unstoppable when paired with Thousand-Year Elixir. If both of them are able to hit the field without being countered, I usually win the game without much trouble. Bouncing Sharuum the Hegemon, Grim Poppet, Magister Sphinx, and other giant artifact beasts over and over again is just amazing.
