Cool artwork, and a decent 2CC creature as a 2/1.
2.5/5

im really not impressed with him. he really didnt change much for me, other than being a cheap trigger for other allies.

I think it's a really good card, first strikes a very relevant ability to have. No it doesnt stack with other allies but it is a cheap ally.
I wonder what colors the better ally decks use.
I'm thinking blue/green is pretty solid right now for it's non creature versatility via:
spell pierce
into the roil
the 4 cc token generator is nice in an ally deck.

red/blue/white is what ally cards are concentrated in, with 4 in those colors, 3 in blue and black, and 1 colorless.
although all the allies are good so a 5 color deck would work with enough mana fixing

Awesome card art, but red pales in comparison to the other colors this time around.

I use a red/green ally deck that works pretty well. I basically have 4 of these guys, 4 oran-rief survivalists, 2 turntimber rangers, 3 Kazuul Warlords, 2 Tajaru Archer, 4 Joraga Bards, 4 lightning bolts, 2 fireballs, some borderland rangers, coat of arms, and Sarkhan Vol.

Obviously nothing amazing, but it's decent enough to work in a ally deck. Love the artwork by the way, kinda odd that he's not a barbarian, but I guess that would be a lot of creature types.
