The tapped clause is a liability, with the reward having another risk attached to it. I would consider using if I needed some extra reach for things like Rite of Replication or Time Stretch.

Playable, but over-shadowed considerably by some of the newer multi-lands that have come out. Its sacrifice ability might come in handy in some land-based combos....

Lands like these are an obvious trade-off, and whether or not it is useful for you should be determined by your personal play preferences.
But there's one problem: they're non-basic, which is almost always a liability, and limits synergy with other cards. Yet you could also argue that they prevent landwalk, so... Whatever. Take it if you like it.
