Feh on you all!
This guy is a house in limited.
Note that it triggers whenever he attacks, so attack 2x in one turn and you've got yourself a 10/3.

I get that this is for newer players to understand mechanics and start out simple but, plain and simple noobs can just learn themselves from the instruction leaflets in the boxes. If they can't understand how Giant Growth or first strike work I don't give two %#@!'s. I would love for them to fill up a perfectly good slot with a crappy creature, NOT. Why not bring back Sakura-Tribe Elder But no! noobs have to take up my time and money.

anything that gives you multiple combat phases (world at war) will let this guy get big, but if you don't want to combo him with that or one of the aformentioned cards, then yeah, mosstodon is better.

What if something is on the field that keeps creatures with a power greater than X from attacking? Or what if you have a beneficial ability that can only be used if the target's power is low enough? Bramble Creeper can get past those because it/s a 0/3; when he attacks, he'll still have the benefits.
Some things I can think of are using any of the "{T}: Target creature with power 2 or less is unblockable this turn" creatures, or still attacking when someone has Ensnaring Bridge out and 0 cards in their hand. You'd also be able to bring it back with Reveillark.

use with Aggravated Assault and Fury of the Horde, then if your opponent isnt dead sac it to Greater Good or Momentous fall.

Easy to combo. You could make it unblockable with Goblin Tunneler, true. But why not splash green and red together and run Hellkite Charger enchanted with Bear Umbra? Not only do I get infinite combat phases, but my attackers get bigger each time!
Even better: Use with Goblin Tunneler and World at War! 30 damage over 2 turns!

This card can be cruel if you exploit it's ability, and 5 power for 5 CMC isn't horrible, specially considering you wouldn't be blocking much with this anyway. It's not a great card, but green/red has plenty of ways of having this kill you quickly. As saying this is worse than Mosstodon or anything else, all cards can be good or bad depending on context.

Attach Bear Umbra and set up Aggravated Assault for infinite attacks of infinite damage.
